This is my new favorite casual belt. Looks great and lays very flat. Highly recommended.
I love this belt. It’s sharp looking in its elegant simplicity. It’s amazingly lightweight because of the thin aluminum buckle and nylon webbing. There is virtually nothing to fail since it uses friction to lock into place. And because of that friction dependent design, it’s infinitely adjustable. If you’re looking for a nylon web belt for “tactical” use, this isn’t what you want. The webbing is thinner, lighter, and more flexible than something that’s going to carry a holster or other heavy load. This is a really sharp looking belt for dressing up a pair of jeans or other casual pants. It lays about as flat and thin as anything I’ve ever seen and it looks really sharp. The thinner versions probably look good with a suit or dress pants but I have only bought the 1.5″ version so far.I like the fact that you can buy one strap and buckle combo and then buy other straps or buckles to interchange them for different looks. That makes them a little less pricey and it cuts down on the number of belts you need in your closet. It took me about ten seconds to realize how it works and get comfortable putting it on or taking it off. I love the fact there’s no flap at the end so you don’t need to worry about belt loops. As far as fit, they recommend enough extra length so that the end of the belt ends up laying just beyond your first belt loop. I’m consistently a 34″ waist in pants so I ordered the 36″ belt and it fits me perfectly. Just enough length for the end to lay behind that first belt loop on a pair of Wranglers. Also, I bought the black nylon strap with the “gunmetal” buckle and the photos on Amazon are pretty accurate. The gunmetal is a dark gray, not black but not silver either.Edit 9/30/2018: So I liked the Black belt with the Gunmetal buckle that I initially ordered so much that I ordered 2 more straps in Khaki and Navy Blue and 3 more buckles in Black, Silver, and Blue. Now, with 4 different buckles and 3 different easily interchangeable straps I have effectively 4 X 3 or 12 different belts to choose from but, they only take up the space of 3 thin and light belts. So, I cleaned out my closet and got rid of a lot of my old casual leather and cloth and nylon web belts. Also, when I bought the first Grip 6 belt and buckle for $35 I thought that was a little pricey for a casual belt. But with the extra straps and buckles, the price per belt / look gets really reasonable. I paid $35 for the first belt and buckle. $20 each for 3 more buckles and $15 each for two more straps. Add that up and 35 + 20 + 20 +20 + 15 + 15 = $125. Divide $125 by the 12 different combinations I can make and the price per belt / look is about $10.42. That’s pretty affordable and the bonus is that I don’t have 9 belts cluttering up my closet, I only have 3 that can cover anything from backpacking to dinner at a nice restaurant. With that hardware, I can cover, black jeans, blue jeans, khakis, gray chinos, OD green cargo pants, my black ski pants, and all of those colors in shorts. That covers 95% of my needs. I’m pretty stoked about these belts.EDIT 1/10/2021: I’ve had these belts for about 2 1/2 years now and they have become the only belts I wear other than a dress belt with suits. I use them around the yard, backpacking, mountain biking, and for casual wear. They are comfortable and I’ve never had one slip on me. They stay put. And so far, they aren’t even showing any wear.

    Well made and simple design
Aesthetically this is my favorite belt at the moment, I love the low profile and minimalist design. I’m hoping this is a buy it for life item, considering the simplicity of the materials and construction. It’s very lightweight but seems well-made and is easy to adjust. It took me a day or two to get comfortable with putting the belt on, as it is quite different than a standard buckle. But it doesn’t slip and now that I’ve gotten used to it, it doesn’t take any longer than any other belt.

A great belt that delivers on its promises!
TLDR: After just over a week of use, I find the Grip6 belt to largely be what is advertised and fair for the price if they stand behind their guarantees given some of the concerns I have over the rubber/plastic stopper durability. The belt holds firm, stays tight, is incredibly comfortable, reasonably usable provided you follow their instructions on how to use, and durable. A worthwhile investment in an American company.Pros:- Snug & comfortable fit- Simple mechanism- USA made- Sturdy & light aluminum buckle- Strong quality nylon beltCons:- Plastic/Rubber stopper on one end of the belt is weird and might fall off far sooner than lifespan of other materials.I bought this belt 03/26/21 to replace a typical leather & buckle belt I had primarily used for about the past 10 years at least. It was incredibly bent, and the buckle metal coating has largely faded away. I am looking for sturdier material for work clothing and wanted to find an ideal nylon material belt.Grip6 won my decision over the other quick-release style buckle nylon belts because I wanted something with less moving parts that would lend to a longer life-span. No matter what you buy, moving parts break down, and I thought ingenious that they designed a simple system that uses the natural tension and grip of the buckle and belt to hold itself in place. My only concern was how difficult it would be to tighten and if it would hold its tightness. When this belt first arrived I immediately tried it on after work replacing my leather belt. I looped it on as the instructional video on this page and their own website advises and had no problem doing as instructed unlike what I hear others say. You can tighten the belt to a good degree using their method by turning the buckle inward on the loose end as you feed it through and it almost clamps in on itself as you adjust it to where you want it. It is a little challenging to loosen it if you prefer a tighter fit, but it’s not impossible and this is not drawback for me.The belt is incredibly comfortable and sits flat against your pelvis/stomach as they say. It does not hold your pants firmly by magic in any other way. Some of my jeans only have the single loop in the back for example, and they still sag down and still cause a slight bend in the nylon belt. But so far the belt recovers well when I take it off and roll it up. Hopefully it does not bend too much in the future. For my pants that do have extra loop support all around the waist, this belt is perfect. It stays snug, it holds firm, it feels great, truly a different experience from your typical leather/buckle belt. The one thing I absolutely do not like about this belt, and am greatly concerned about it, is the tail end that begins the belt loop and hooks into the buckle has this plastic/rubber stopper fixed to it which allows the belt to initially stay hooked into the buckle. The purpose of this is to allow the buckle and belt to be interchangeable because normally this is the end that would have been looped around and sewn to itself to hold to the buckle, or some other method. I do not like this little stopper and have no faith in it holding for long.

    Tightening my GRIP
This is my second GRIP6 belt purchase as wanted one in another color. When first learning about this belt system I was a bit skeptical, but after purchasing a GRIP6 belt several months ago and wearing it frequently, I am now a convert. I much prefer it to any of my traditional belts, due to simplicity, low profile, and excellent functionality. They’re a bit pricey, but made in the USA so willing to pay a little extra; plus I believe will last longer than other cheaper nylon/braided belts I’ve owned.

    My new favorite belt
At first I thought I was going to return this, it all seemed unnecessarily weird and fiddly and it was hard to take off. But after you get used to it, man this thing is awesome. It’s tough, it’s durable, it looks great both for formal and non formal occasions. I love that the tail tucks in on the underside instead of the outside. This is my new go to belt.

    Fantastic belt
Wear this daily and absolutely love it! The near infinite adjustability is amazing for those of us that tend to fluctuate on the weight regularly. I do construction and this belt has proven its durability and held up to me climbing up and down on concrete and stone rubbing the belt right on it and not a fray or tear in sight as of yet. The buckle style is by far the best part, and once you are used to the system the ease of putting the belt on and taking it off again is a game changer!

Received this today. The package was left uncovered, on a rainy day, someway outside the house. Luckily the envelope is waterproof. Have tried it on and feel good. I have one the same size as my pant, long enough and easy to put it on. Still doubt that if it worth the money, will see.

This is a fantastic belt. The style of fastening is a bit different to a conventional belt, but you soon get used to it.I bought the Grip6 belt and a very slightly cheaper Chinese version, which works in exactly the same way, around the same time to make a comparison. Although the two looked almost identical from the pictures on the product page they are two very different belts. The Chinese version has a much lower grade aluminium buckle and a heavier but cheaper belt fabric. The Grip6 is far superior in quality and performance and is only a few pounds more than the Chinese version. If you are considering this style of belt and are wondering whether to save a few pounds by getting the Chinese version, do yourself a favour and just get this one. Take that from someone who has purchased and tested both.

I have the “hockey player problem” with jeans, where if you don’t want baggy jeans and find a pair where the legs fit, then the waist is too big and you need a belt. Leather belts look good but stretch out on me. The holes are never in the right place for a perfect fit. Fabric belts solve this, but the clamp buckles don’t look good and the bulky buckle can make sitting down uncomfortable. This belt solves many problems. It’s light, the slim buckle doesn’t dig in when you sit down, the buckle looks great, the color schemes are great for casual wear, the buckle doesn’t stick out so it’s tough to scratch it on things, the precise fit means I’m not pulling my pants up all day, and the military-grade strap (or whatever fabric they seem to be selling you) is holding up very well. The price is a bit steep, but I was so fed up with constantly pulling up my pants even with a belt on that I was willing to give it a shot. You don’t have to trade-off between having the right fit but your belt digs into your stomach when sitting OR having the belt loose enough that it’s not digging in when you sit but your crack shows when you stand up. You get the best of both worlds. The strap-locking mechanism takes getting used to but is easier every day. Best belt I’ve ever had.
